The Nebraska Lottery was launched in 1993 after voters approved the creation of a state lottery.
The first Powerball lottery tickets went on sale in 1994, and the state added Mega Millions in 2010. Since November 2004, proceeds from lottery ticket sales have been allocated to the Nebraska Education Improvement Fund, Compulsive Gamblers Assistance Fund, Nebraska Environmental Trust Fund, and Nebraska State Fair.
If you don't live in the state, you can still visit an authorized lottery retailer to take part in the state's lottery games.
The Nebraska Lottery is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen tickets. Keep them in a safe place. Signing your ticket helps prove you own it in case you lose it.
You have 180 days from the date of the draw to collect your winnings.
You can play Mega Millions, Powerball, 2by2, Lucky for Life, MyDaY, Pick 3, and Pick 5.
You can redeem winnings of less than $500 at any lottery retailer. Larger prizes can only be claimed by mail or by visiting a regional claim center. For more details, check the Claiming Prizes section.
